Shoreline and Shoreland Planning
and Permits in New Hampshire

Effective July 1, 2008, most projects
within 250 ft of the water will require a NH DES Shoreland Permit. There
are a few exceptions, but most development, rebuilding, expansion, and
construction will require a permit under the new RSA 483-B guidelines.
This means that planning ahead can be the most important component when
considering buying, selling, or re-developing shorefront property in New
Hampshire.
We are
here to help!

Frequently Asked Questions - Wetlands Permits
Planning ahead will be the
single most important consideration under the revised standards.
Everything you do today, will affect how you can use your property in the
future. All projects must be coordinated to consider the relationship
between multiple disciplines and development of the "one plan" concept for
environmental permits within 250 ft of the water. We can "quarterback"
your project and assemble a team of experts combining your people and/or yours
to provide the best service and experience available in the Lakes Region.
